THE ULTIMATE IMAT TIMELINE
But first of all: “When should I start studying for IMAT?
Another question is “ When should I apply for IMAT?”
Finally the last important question before starting scheduling your study-timeline is: “ When should I start gathering documents?”
First of all, where should you put your focus?
So let’s make a little recap:
In this article, you will find all the answers (or maybe most of them 😉 ) about how to perfectly organize your study schedule for the IMAT test.
We are going to use our “ULTIMATE TIMELINE” to connect every month with the achievements you should get in that specific period.
Like always it depends mostly on you, but for us the IDEAL START should be between MARCH and MAY , so you will have 5-7 months to prep LIKE A PR
Here we need to divide between EU and non-EU students (because the steps are a little different)
It usually starts around March and ends between July and September
HEADS UP: Some universities like PAVIA or MESSINA might have EXTRA PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS so STAY ALERT !!!
Best answer = ASAP !!!
Especially for the DECLARATION OF VALUE (Needed if you don’t have an Italian High School diploma)
This process can take time, so get started early.
Also, REMEMBER to RENEW your passport or ID (if they are close to expiring) because they’re essential for studies in Italy.
Last but not least, remember to apply for a VISA AFTER the official ranking is out and you are enrolled in a University.
Another little trick for fastening the process is to start collecting all the documents earlier since many of then are the same as those for pre-enrollment
Now that we have made a little recap about all the documents and processes you should do to apply for IMAT, we can start creating the best study-timeline (or at least the structure on which you can model your own).
For us the best is to master the theory by June/ July and focus on quizzes and simulations as IMAT pets closer
Remember our quote -> Quizzes and simulations >>>> Theory
Also, it is really important to start from the subject you feel less confident with, perhaps you will have more time for practicing and mastering it.
Don’t be afraid to try simulations ; those are designed to help you improve, and know that it’s normal to face difficulties at first.
However, these challenges will guide you in understanding where to focus and improve, so you can become a test-taking machine.
Remember to take your time, everyone is different and we are sure you will find your own rhythm (and remember to stick to it).
Last but not least, if you feel lost or need someone to guide you with a STRUCTURED IMAT PLAN, our IMAT PREP COURSES are exactly what you need to get on track!
