September 13th is getting closer and closer; you are probably exhausted and dreaming about the vacation that awaits you after the test. The next couple of weeks will be your most challenging preparation period. It would be best if you stayed calm and focused. Don’t panic, and keep going!

Stress and fear can lead you down the garden path. You’ve worked hard for many months, so we can’t have that happening on the test day! Here is a list of things you must bring to the test. Save this list and check you have everything before you leave your house.

  1. Identity document : you must bring an original ID (a copy won’t do!). It must be the one you specified during the registration on Universitaly.
  2. Universitaly receipt : this reminder can be downloaded from Universitaly. It states your full name and surname, the test center you selected, and the time and date of your payment.
  3. The Cambridge confirmation email is the email you received after paying for the test. Here is a brief excerpt from the email: “ Your registration has been successful for the IMAT test at *name of the Univerisity of first choice* in Italy on September 13th, 2022, at noon (Italian time). ” This email also reports your Reference Number.
  4. Water and a snack : since you’ll spend a few hours at the test center, you must bring an energy snack and a water bottle. Don’t drink too much before the test, and use the restroom before the test starts. If you decide to eat or drink during the exam, do not spill water or crumbs on the papers.
  5. Watch : remember to bring a watch, not a smartwatch, which is not allowed, just a regular watch (analog or digital, whatever you prefer). Most test centres have wall clocks and announce the remaining time on the speakers. However, you’ll feel much more comfortable checking the time whenever necessary.

Note that mobile phones, smartwatches, and other devices are not permitted. You don’t need to bring a pen as you can only use the one provided by the test center.

Finally, remember to rest as well as possible the night before the exam. Have a rich breakfast in the morning and only revise the most mnemonic topics (short-term memory is astonishing!).

You are all set! Good luck!
